HISTORIC MARATHON
October 18 & 19, 2025

Established in 1958, the Atlantic City Marathon is the third oldest continuing marathon in the United States. The marathon course is noted for being fast and flat, including eight miles of oceanfront Boardwalk running! 

Certified Boston Qualifier

 A USATF Certified Boston Qualifier, the race historically takes place each year in October.

Taking runners on a tour of Absecon Island, the Atlantic City Marathon & Half Marathon cover ground in the cities of Atlantic City, Ventnor, Margate and Longport. From Boardwalk Casinos to the Marina District and sleepy beach towns, the course offers something for every runner.

The Atlantic City Marathon is an RRCA State of New Jersey Championship Event and an Abbot World Major Age Group Championship Qualifier. The current qualifying season features over 375 races, including the Atlantic City Marathon, across six continents with athletes striving for a place in the 2025 world championship.

The Atlantic Half Marathon was voted Race Raves Runners Choice: Best Half Marathons in the U.S. (2024).
