Race Registration Refund & Deferment Policy
Runners who become injured may defer their race registration for medical reasons. We hope that this will help you in planning your race schedule for the year and build confidence that if you should become injured you will be able to postpone your participation in the 2016 Atlantic City Marathon Race Series until 2017.
Runners are eligible for registration deferment to the following calendar year if they are medically unable to complete the race they are registered for. A race deferment form must be completed by a physician prior to the closing of online registration.
All deferment forms must be accompanied by a $15.00 processing fee. Runners must submit the form to race officials one week prior to the event date. No deferments will be granted after the race.

The Atlantic City Marathon Race Series events are held rain or shine. In the event of any weather situation including but not limited to hurricanes, extreme lightning storms, or any weather that results in an evacuation of the Atlantic City area the race will either have a delayed start or, depending on the intensity of the weather and decisions of local municipal governments, be cancelled. The determination will be made by the event management staff and local officials.
The staging of a race of this magnitude results in substantial expense prior to the actual race itself. Thus, in the event of a forced cancellation of the event, it is very likely that the financial impact on the race would not be any different than if the race was held without compromise.
If there are changes to the event schedule or cancellation due to a weather related event, all participants will be notified via email and updates will be posted on the event website as well as social media pages.
By registering for this event you understand that all registration fees are non-refundable and we reserve the right to cancel the event specifically, when weather or other physical conditions present a danger to participants as a whole.
Is there a registration capacity? Yes, capacity is based on number of registrations available when online registration closes.
Do I need a qualifying time to enter the Atlantic City Marathon Race Series? No, the race is a wonderful event for elite runner, beginning runners and everyone in between!
I am injured and/or cannot run the event (family commitment, work obligation, etc.). Can I donate my entry or transfer my entry to someone else? No. Per our official event rules and guidelines: Sale and/or transfer of race entry/bib is strictly prohibited and will result in the disqualification and/or banning of any individuals involved from future events.
If I provide medical documentation of my injury or pregnancy, will you give me a refund? Refunds and name transfers are not permitted. Please refer to the deferment policy above.
Please feel free to contact us for additional information.
Can I change the race distance I am registered for? You are able to change your race distance via email by October 1, 2016. You may choose from one of the other race distances offered the SAME EVENT WEEKEND. If you are changing to a race with a higher registration fee you are required to pay the difference in price. There is NO processing fee if you change your race distance by October 1, 2016. All changes after October 1 must be done in person during Pack Pick Up and accompanied by a $20.00 processing fee. This fee is included because all race numbers have been assigned by October 1 and you will have to be issued a new bib and timing device.
I did not receive a payment confirmation e-mail after I registered, or I am not sure that I entered my registration correctly.
